BICYCLERIDING.

The Painter Brothers, of the Christchurch Bicycle Club, to day essayed to break Duncm’s champion record, from Christchurch to Hurunui and back, in 10 hours 16 minutes for the 114 mites. They started at 6 a.m. Painter, junr., came in first at 4.24 p.m., having failed to break the record bv eight minutes. He made the return journey against a strODg south-west wind.
