LEGAL COSTS IN BANKRUPTCY.
(united press association.) Dunedin, August 9. The Official Assignee drew the Judge’s attention to a case in which the bill of costs of the petitioning creditors amounted to £43, while the whole value of the estate in his hands amounted to only £SO. Mr Justice Williams said he could not fix costs by a definite scale even if over the £2O mentioned in the Act, as the amount depended on the work and other circumstances. In the case before him he made an order for £2O, including disbursements.
