We may state that the Hon W. H. Reynolds, M.L.O.,bas accepted a seat in the Cabinet without portfolio. It is further reported that before consenting to join the Government, Mr Reynolds stipulated that certaiu substantial measures of retrenchment should be adopted, to which, it is said, the Government agreed. The hon gentleman would have been sworn in on Wednesday, but for the indisposition of his Excellency the Governor, who was confined to his room by a severe cold.
