BOAT ACCIDENT AT ROTORUA.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, May B._ A whaleboat containing some Natives, sailing on Lake Rotorua, was struck by a whirlwind near Mokoia Island and capsized. Some clung to the boat, whilst two swam to the mainland to get assistance, a distance of two miles, landing quite exhaustad. A canoe rescued the remainder, two men, a little girl, a young woman, aud a child.
