RACING CLUB. STEEPLECHASE MEETING, 1886. SATURDAY, 10th JULY, 1886. PROGRAMME : 1. Trial Steeplechasp Handicap of 80 go vs ; second horse to receive 10 sovs from the stakes. About two miles and a quarter. Nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 3 sovs. Open to all horse 3 that have never won an advertised steeplechase of the value of 25 sovs. 2. Hordle Handicap of 100 sovs ; second horse to receive 10 sovs, and the third horse 5 sovs from the stakes. About two miles. Nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 4 sovs. 3. Local Hurdle Handicap of 30 sovs, added to a sweepstake of 3 sovs each for acceptors ; second horse to receive 10 sovs from the stakes. Aoout one mile and a half. Nomination, 1 sov (to go to the fund). Open to all horse* the bona fide property (on the Ist June, 1886) of persons lending within the Hutt County. 4. Wellington Steeplechase Handicap of 150 sovs ; second horse to receive 15 sovs from the stakes. About three miles. Nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 3 sovs ; final payment, 3- sovs. 5. Selling Hack Hurdle Race of 35 sovs. About one mile and a half, Entrance, 1 sov ; minimum weight, lOst. (For conditions of this race see sheet programme). 6. Consolation Hurdle Handicap of 40 sovs j second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes. About one mile and a half.
