* Means, &c. t Means for same month previous fifteen years. Early part fine, but oppressive weather; wind, N.E-, showery on 7th ; on 10th wet and strong S.E. wind ; fine Jfrom 11th to 16th, N.W.; 17th to 27th very wet unpleasant S.K. weather, almost constant rain, but not cold. Maximum rain recorded on 20th, •1.10 inch ; strong wind on 19th from S.W., and 22nd, 23rd, and 24th from S. B. ; last few days very fine and bright. Maximum temperature in shade, 74 "8 ; minimum, 9*B. Bain fall at reservoir 496 inches in 17 days. R. B. Gore.
