(a) Kt takes P is calculated to yield a »tronger (b) We prefer Kt to Q B 3. (c)Q Kt to B 3 may he played with advantage. (d) To prevent Kt going to B 4 and taking off White's K B. (e) B to Q 3 or Q Kt to B 3 were more to the purpose. (f) We think White should have played B to R 3 at once to prevent Black Kt going to B 4. (g) Black has now a safe position, (h) The correct move. (i) He might we think, have advanced his Q P with advantage here. (j) White wants a Kt to enable him to get at his opponent ; there is little hope of breaking through the adverse pawns with queen and rooks. (k) Q to R 4 at once would have made matters very uncomfortable for White. (1) The commanding position of this bishop enable* White to draw against superior force.
