Commercial News.

The amounts of Customs duties collected at this port for the week ending July 11, 1879, were as under :

We report an exceedingly dull state of trade during the past week, which leaves nothing to report either in prices or trans actions.

In colonial produce the same state of affairs are reported, although in some few cases, owing- to exceptional causes, and improvement in quotations may be noted. Oats are in full supply at last week's rates, 2s 9d to 3s per bushel, according to parcel and quality. Southern flour, £9 to JB9 10s per ton. Potatoes, 110 s per ton.

BY JELEGHAPH. CHRISTCH CRCH, Thursday.
