The usual weekly meeting of the Wellington Literary Association was held on Tuesday, when there was a very large attendance of members; the president (Kev. J. Paterson) being in the chair. A committee was appointed to report ou the advisability of holding a musical anti literary entertainment ou the 22nd July, when it is proposed to give selections from “Hamlet.” A very interesting an I able essay on “The ITses of the Wellington Literary Association” was given by one of the members, which elicited a large amount of criticism. The next evening will be devoted to elocution.
