It is now a well-known fact that the Wholesale Drapery Houses in New Zealand, have for the present season, imported goods in excess of their requirements and the first to take advantage of this has been JAMES SMITH, TE AltO HOUSE, WELLINGTON who has bought very largely of Drapery and Clothing in every Department, in many eases under Ennlish cost: price. Being satisfied with only a moderate profit, he is nowin a position to offer tiie largest stock in the City, at prices below any other house in the trade. Our friends have hut carefully to peruse the last page of this paper, to be convinced of the truth of the above assertion. These are facts which will be fully borne out by an inspection of the stock. It is well-known throughout the Province, that the principles adopted by Mr. Smith of selling at a small profit for Cash vnthcDU discount or reduction of ami kind is the only one that is,fust to the seller, and profitable to the buyer. In this case whether persons arc judges of the value of goods or not they may always depend on getting every article required at the very lowest price for which it is possble to be sold.—Ad vt
