EDUCATION BOARD.

The following are the results of the usual weekly meeting of the Board. The Secretary was instructed to inform Mr Hulke, in connection with a discourteous paragraph that appeared in the “ Wanganui Herald,” that a repetition of such conduct would not be overlooked. The attention, of teachers is to be called to the following resolution by circular : “That no teacher shall make any communication directly or indirectly to the press upon any matter affecting or relating to the Education Board, or to any of its members or officials as such, or to his own official position or acts, without the express permission or authority of the Board.” Mr S. Levy was appointed collector for this city ; Mr A. J. Ketley for Wanganui, subject to Mr Watt’s approval. Both assessors are directed to assess all properties hitherto omitted. Mr Ketley was appointed collector for Wanganui and Waitotara, vice Anderson resigned ; the appointment to be subject to Messrs Watt and Iveson’s approval. Nominations of local committees confirmed :—Turakina Valley—Messrs J. M‘Gregor, A. Cameron, R. Macallay. Turakina—Messrs G. Y. Lethbridge, A. Simpson, J. Steadman. Makirikiri —Messrs R. K. Simpson, J. Hempseed, J. M‘Lean. Ohariu—Messrs J. Bryant, J. J. Williamson. West Masterton—Messrs H. Crayne, R. Dogg, W. Anketell.
