The South Australians (the " Argus" says) are gradually coming round to the belief that their Northern Territory is more than they can successfully manage. They have, therefore, semi-officially announced, within the last few days, that it must henceforth "be governed socially, financially, and judicially on the spot, with an appeal to head-quarters in Adelaide." They even go so far as to anticipate its becoming an independent colony at no distant date, and to declare that "all their arrangements for the " future should be made with that probability in view."
