At the meeting of the Interprovincial Regatta Committee, held on Wednesday •vening, the more important business still before the committee was left untouched. The only decision arrived at was the appointing of a committee to fix upon the course. This will probably be—at least it is to be hoped it will be —the line of beach between the Hutt river and Ngahauranga, as smooth water can nearly always be calculated upon there with certainty. There is also a fine expanse of open beach where thousands could follow every movement in the race without any difficulty. A draft programme is to be drawn up and submitted to the committee, who will as soon after as possible put the finishing touch to it.
