NOTZGE To the Shareholders of the "Auckland Newspaper and Printing Company." T a Meeting of the Trustees, held on the sth inst., it was considered desirable to call a Meeting of the Shareholders to take/into consideration the state of the affairs of the Company, and the propriety of dissolving it; and as it was the opinion of a majority of the Trustees, that the Auckland Herald had not been latterly conducted agreeable to the principles laid down in the Prospectus, they considered it their duty to direct that it should contain nothing but Advertisements and Local News, until that Meeting took place.
Murder.—There has been a murder committed near the station of Mr. Williams, the respected Missionary. The murderer and his victim were both natives. Jealousy, with regard to the conduct of a wihena (wife), is said to have been the cau?" of the crime. The offender is in custody.
