The Immigrants. —Government has given employment to ail the married immigrants, about etghty, who were previously unemployed at the camp. One party is engaged in the constrution of the dam above the basin, and another in making a road across the swamp to the beach. They each received the option of Is. 6d. per’ diem, with a double ration and lodging, or 4s, without any other advantage ; and those that had families of more than two children generally made choice of Is. 6d. with the double ration and lodging, those having only two children preferred the 4s. ~P, P.
