New Zealand Banking 1 Company) AT a Special General Meeting of the Proprietors of this Company, held by adjournment, from the 16th Instant, for the purpose of taking into consideration, the Requisition from Shareholders at Auckland, on the propriety of effecting an immediate removal of the Head Quarters of the Establishment to Auckland. Mayhew, Vice-President, in the Chair, It was moved by Dr. Pollen, and seconded by Captain Richmond — t “That in the opinion of this Meeting, it will be “ conducive to the Trustees of the New Zealand “ Banking Company, that the Head Quarters “ cf the Establishment be removed to Auckland. It is therefore Resolved, that measures be taken to effect that object with the least possi “ ble delay.’’ The Resolution being about to be put from the Chair, a Ballot was demanded by Messrs Richmond, Turner, Beveridge, Pollen and Thompson, being qualified Propr etors. It was thereupon moved by Mr. Busby, Seconded by Mr. Wilson, and agreed to, That the Ballot be taken on the 11th August, 1842, being the Anniversary of the Commencement of the Business of the “ Rrannh” Auckland Branch’ Should the 11th of August fall on a Sunday, the Ballots to be taken the next day.
