To ' Delta' we are much obliged for his letter, which shall appear in our next Paper. To 4 Veritas' we say we wish he had employed his pen in a better cause. His Letter, however, shall appear in an early number : his statements and arguments have failed to convince us, but we will receive with pleasure any further com~ ununicalion. We most unaffectedly say that our sincere hope, our earnest desire is — our greatest pleasure in the performance of our editorial duties, will be to have occasion conscientiously to applaud and support the Government: it is in an extreme degree at variance with our tastes or prejudices, and disagreeable to our private feelings to be in opposition to the Government of the Country in which we sojourn.
