The Whangnrei Cup was won by Sousa, who enjoyed a Bond run and always appeared llio winner ovor the last, half-mile. Good Bay won the Manaia Handicap, which was reduced to four runners. Billy Peach outclassed his opponents in the Parahnki Handicap and paid just on double figures, the best price of the day. Ellerslie stables won five races with iSoble Artist, Raphael Commissar, Good Bay and .Billy Peach. -In addition Sit Dingle. Sporting Nation, Corot, Light mint.
