AIR FORCE WEDDING

ALLAN—SMITH

The marriage of Miss Zoe Kendall Smith, only daughter of Mr and Mrs S. C. K. Smith, of Invercargill, to Flight. Lieutenant lan Allan, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. C, Allan, Cambridge, took place yesterday evening at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Synionds Street. The Rev. David N. Pry or officiated and Miss Marie Woods was soloist.

The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr George Smith, wore a trained gown ot ivory moss crepe, made on classical lines, with crystal beaded yoke and peplutn. Her long plain tulle veil was held in place with white orchids, and she carried a bouquet of white roses,, carnations and orchids. Attending as bridesmaids were Miss .Barbara Foote and Miss Ngaire Birchtield, who were dressed alike in frocks of dark powder blue piu-spotted sheer, over taffeta, made with gathered yokes, featuring a frill running diagonally from waist to shoulder, and full skirts. Their bouquets and topknots were of pink roses. The best man was l)r J. F. Gruar, of Hamilton, and Flight Lieutenant W. M. Burge, of Auckland, was groomsman.

The reception was held at the Berkeley Lounge, Mission Bay.
