CLOUDY, WITH SCATTERED RAIN The Government meteorologist issued to the Herald last evening the following forecast for the Auckland Province:—General situation: There is an intense anti-cyclone south of the Chatham Islands. A trough is advancing across the Tasruan Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m., Thursday: North-easterly winds, becoming fresh or strong in exposed places; weather cloudy to overcast, with scattered 'drizzle or light rain; temperatures moderate. Further outlook: General rain. Barometer, midnight 30.39 in. (1029 millibars) Midnight Tuesday 30.42 in.
