WEDDING AT PAPAKURA

WILLIAMS—WALKER The Anglican Church, Papakura, was the scene of the wedding last Saturday of Miss Esther Jean Walker, second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. G. Walker, of Papakura, and Mr Kenneth lx>ckwood Williams, younger son of Mr and Mrs J. Williams, of Devonport. The Rev. Mr Wood, of Te Awamutu, officiated and a solo was sung by Miss j Hynes. The bride, who was given away by j her father, wore a charming gown of ! laconne cut on classic lines, with a low j waist and full skirt, falling into a long j train. Her embroidered Brussels lace , veil was held in place lv.v a topknot of j stock and hyacinths. She carried a matching bouquet. The bridesmaids, the Misses Betty and Heather Walker, sisters of the bride, were dressed alike in blue robia. Their bouquets and topknots were of pink'stock, cyclamens and daphne. The flower girl was Beverley Thomas, cousin of the bride. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Max McGerty as best man and" Mr James Lucas as groomsman. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. Hunun Road, Papakura. A unique feature of the occasion was the silver anniversary of the bride's parents and the rnbv anniversary of the bridegroom's parents'.
