The latter's inclusion will he popular with the Auckland public as he has been playing in excellent form for the Navy this season. At the same lime, patrons of the game will regret not having tho opportunity of seeing Delamore in action once again, as he performed brilliantly as a member of tho Training College fifteen before the war. The large crowd which is expected to attend the match will be well catered for in the way of preliminary games. The first of these will commence at 11.30 a.m. between the Orakei United and Northcote Colts' teams, the referee hcinur Mr W. 11. Mel'ounell. The final of the primary schools' Holler Mills Shield competition will commence at 12.30 p.m. with Mr K. L. Brown as referee.

ROLLER MILLS' SHIELD PRIMARY SCHOOLS' TOURNEY The 18th annual competition for the Northern Roller Mills Shield was commenced at Eden Park yesterday afternoon under the control of the .Auckland Primary Schools Rugbv t'liion. This competition has been suspended since I'M I owing to war conditions and travel restrictions. The Wliangarei. Waikato, Thames \ alley, South Auckland and Waipa districts are represented, aptfrt from three learns from Auckland schools. The. teams and officials were extended a welcome at die Town Ha'.l yesterday morning by the Mayor. Mr .1 A. C. Allum. who pointed out that there was no more imnoriant branch of education than teamwork such as was promoted by the game of Rugby. Such team-work was later reflected in the life of the community. Te Kuiti.—ln a hard, even struggle Maniapoto defeated Otorohanga in a Peace Cup elimination match at Rugby Park at Te Kuiti by 12 points to 5. The speed of the Mania poto pack was a factor in the game, although this was partly offset by Otorohanga's ability to break through in the close rucking. Much promise was shown by the Otorohnnga backs, particularly Cnmpstone, but lack of pace in the three-quarter line prevented it from finishing off movements. Maniapoto's three-quarters, on the other hand, were the pick of the team's backs, the inside men failing to give them opportunities. Rotorua. —In a representative Rugby match here Tauranga beat Rotorua by '2l points to 3.

HAMILTON, Tuesday The South Auckland ladies' golf tournament opened at the St. Andrew's links this morning in ideal weather. The course, which was in good order, was described by visiting players as the best in New Zealand.
