AUCKLAND FIGIIBES TOTAL NOW £3,402,387 Subscriptions made or promised in the Auckland district to the 1945 Victory Loan of £25,000,000 now amount to £3.402,387, equal to 58 per cent of the district's quota. This represents a gain of £90,018 on the previous dav. In-the Auckland metropolitan area subscriptions total £3,073,534, or 56 per cent of the target. Following are the country centres which made the greatest gains yesterday:—Silverdale, £2323 (66 per cent); Clevedon, £3990 (58); Tuakau, £7Blo (54); Bombay, £IB2B (52); Papakura, £.16,838 (51); Albany, £2066 (50); Helensville, £6651 (45); Leigh, £431 (44). A motion that the 4 Seddo'n Memorial Technical College subscribe £IOOO to the loan! was carried at a meeting of the board of managers of the college vest.erday. It was stated that this brought the total subscriptions by the college to war loans up to £SOOO during the war period. DISTRICT PERCENTAGES WELLINGTON STILL LEADING (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Thursday The Reserve Bank announced tonight that today's receipts brought, the total of the 1945 Victory Loan up to £13.677,699. The cash subscriptions during the day amounted to £710,148, including £40,460 of redeemed promises. The amounts and percentages of objectives of the 20 war loan districts are now as follows: — Wellington. £2.463.676 (67 percent); Auckland, £3.473.980 (60); Southland, £743,437 (59); Taranaki. £520.748 (56); Wairarapa, £211.188 (54); Otago, £1.207,253 (53); North Otago, £126.790 (53); South Canterbury, £309,411 (52); Wanganui, £405.124 (52); Hawke's Bay, £476.959 (50); Marlborough,' £l*B-091 (49); Northland. £221.319 (49); Gisborne-Kast Coast. £212.717.
