CARE OF WAR PRISONERS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday The following message lias been sent to the president ol the central agency lor prisoners of war. the International Ked Cross Society, Geneva, by the act-ing-Prime Minister, Mr Nash: — i should like to convey to you 011 behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand an expression of our siucerest appreciation of the groat work of the International Red Cross Society during the last six years. By its constant and painstaking endeavours, the International Red Cross has helped to bring comfort and hope to thousands of prisoners of war and internees and immeasurable relief and happiness to their families and friends." Air Nash concluded with a reference to the true spirit of humanity which actuated the Red Cross, and with an assurance that New Zealand would not rest until that spirit was established throughout the world.
