WOOL APPRAISAL TRANSPORT RESTRICTIONS The second appraisal of the 1914-45 Auckland wool season will commence at the Parnell stores tomorrow, when a catalogue of approximately 20,000 bales will bo submitted. At the corresponding appraisal last season 15.520 bales were dealt with for & realisation of 13.73 d per lb and an aggregate of £312,888. The wool to be offered t-omorrow. according to Mr H- Duke, chairman of the Auckland Woolbrokers' Association, is lighter in condition than last year, but shows superior growth, a result of more favourable climatic conditions. in regard to transport, Mr Duke said that a slight delay had occurred in the transfer of last season's wool to outsido stores. This had necessitated an embargo being placed on the carriage of wool to Auckland by sea, rail or road transport. This stoppage would facilitate the work of the woolbrokers during the appraisement, and would lessen the likelihood of delay in transport at a time more inconvenient to growers generally. It was not expected that the stopping of wool transport would be of long duration, and the association would arrange for the lifting of the restrictions at the earliest opportunity.
