NAVAL WEDDINGS LEE-RICHARDS—MARTIN The marriage of Miss Mary Martin, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. G. Martin, of Stanley Bay, to LieutenantCommander (E) K. L. Lee-Richards, R.N., twin son of Mrs M. H. LeeRichards and the late Mr L. H. LeeRichards, of Rugby, England, took place on Saturday afternoon at All Souls' Church, Devonport. Father M. Kenefick, naval chaplain, officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of pale blue crepe with a pintucked bodice, and a small halo hat of matching flowers finished with a veil. Her bouquet was of cream tea roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Betty Gurr, of Devonport, wore a dusky pink crepe frock with a shoulder spray of pink flowers and a felt bonnet in the same shade. The best man was Captain P. Killen, Royal Marines. The reception was held at the homo of the bride's parents. THOMAS—LITTLER The wedding of Miss Lorna Marjorie Littler, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs James Littler, of Hamilton Road, Heme Bay, to Petty-Officer Clifford Thomas, R.N.Z.N.V.R., younger son of Mr and Mrs A. R. Thomas, of Jervois Road, Herne Bay, was celebrated on Saturday afternoon at All Saints' Church, Ponsonby. The Rev. D. S. Millar officiated, and Dr S. K. Phillips was at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming suit of powder-blue cloque with a wide-brimmed white straw hat and white accessories. Her bouquet was of white roses. She was attended by her sister. Miss Phyllis Littler, who wore a dusky pink frock and a white hat. her bouquet heiny of riM's and carnations in shades of pink. Mrs Littler receiving in a navy ensemble and hat. and Mrs Thomas being iu black sheer over apricot with a matching hat. The bride is well known in musical circles in Auckland. Both the bridegroom and best man have just returned to the Dominion on H.M.N.Z.S. Gambia, the bridegroom having served overseas for nearly two years. HUNT—STALKER The wedding took place recently at St. Paul's Church, Invercargill, of Miss Mary McKerchar Stalker, second daughter of Mr and Mrs C. G. Stalker, of Riverton, to Petty-Officer lan Stanley Hunt, R.N.Z.N., only son of Mr and Mrs M. Hunt, of Wellington. The Rev. C. J. Toeker officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming frock of cream georgette over taffeta and an embroidered veil, lent by a Melbourne friend, and held in place by a cluster of orange blossom. Her bouquet was of cream roses and lily of the valley. The bridesmaids,' Miss Ina Stalker, sister of the bride, and Miss Jean McXaughton, of Riverton, wore frocks of shell-pink georgette made on similar lines to that of the bride, and carried bouquets of pink carnations and sweet peas with maidenhair fern. The bride's niece, Ila Bickley, was flower girl in a frock of cream georgette and carried a basket of tulips. Petty-Officer H. Shipman, of Auckland, acted as best man, and Flight-Sergeant C. Johnson, R.N.Z.A.F., of Invercargill, was groomsman. The reception after the ceremony was held at Ehnwood Gardens. CATHEDRAL CEREMONY KERSHAW-COOPER St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell, was the scene of the wedding on Saturday of Miss Patricia Mary Cooper, only daughter of Mrs and the late Mr B. Cooper, of Brightside Road. Epsom, to Leading-Aircraftman John William Riplev Kershaw, R.N.Z.A.F., only son of Mrs and the late Captain W. A. R. Kershaw, of Wellington. Dean Faneourt officiated.

The bride was given away by her cousin, Flying-Officer H. V. Mountfort. She wore a lovely trained gown of white georgette and lace, made with a heart-shaped neckline, full bishop sleeves and a full skirt. A cluster of flowers held her tulle veil in place and she carried a bouquet of white roses and carnations. Her cousin, Miss Jose Mountfort, who was bridesmaid, wore blue georgette and lace, with a head-dress of pink roses and carnations to match her bouquet. The best man was Sergeant Dennis Beard, 11.N.Z.A.F. The reception afterward was held at the Parnell Rose Garden Kiosk.

PARNELL AT HOME An At Home, convened by Miss Joan Rattray, member of the City Council, held in Knox Hall, Parnell, was attended by 150 women representatives of organisations, political parties, churches, education groups and institutions working in the interests of Parnell. Miss Rattray spoke on the need for co-ordination between various interests and added that the main message of recent overseas women visitors to this country was the importance of unity among women.

Musical items were contributed by Miss ina Boswortlrs orchestra, six Niue Island girls and Mr G. Sutcliffe. CHRISTIAN COUNCIL At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Council of Christian Women it was resolved to become an incorporated society.
