FORECAST FOR AUCKLAND CLOUDY, SHOWERY AND COOLER The Government meteorologist issued to the Hkrald last evening the following forecast for the Auckland Province to 5 p.m. today:—General situation: Pressure is still high to the north-east. A trough from the west should cross the province during the day. Forecast to 5 p.m.: Fresh northerly winds, soon backing west or south-west; cloudy and showery, but showers becoming more scattered during the day; temperatures rather cooler.
