TIME OF VICTORIES

WONDERFUL PERIOD SPEECH BY MR CHURCHILL (.Reed. 8.15 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 10 In a speech immediately after his arrival at the Moscow airfield, Mr Churchill said: "Moro than two years have passed since 1 was last here—two years of uninterrupted victories. All of us from different parts of the world have fought our common foe, who has ruthlessly destroyed mankind's peace and accompanied him at every step with cruelty and terrible atrocities, and upon whom the might of the United Nations is now descending. "In this wonderful period of victories the Russian armies have struck heavy blows. They were the first to shatter the German Army's spirit and war machine, but we, too, of the United States and British Commonwealth, have exerted our strength to the limit. It is for you to judge whether or not we have inflicted heavy blows. "I come here with the hope, na.v, the certitude, that victory will be achieved, and with the hope that when it is achieved we shall all try to make the world n. bettor place tor the great masses of people to live in."
