CAMBRIDGE, Friday The opinion that too much authority had been delegated by the Rehabilitation Board to the State Advances Corporation was expressed and the treatment of local rehabilitation committees was roundly criticised at a meeting of 70 members of the Cambridge Returned Services Association last ingnt. It was stated that there was a feeling of frustration, especially on the part of the committees, and a Greater measure of decentralisation was "urged, together with a more human appreciation of the needs of returning members of the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force. A resolution was passed protesting against the control of rehabilitation being placed in the hands of State departments, thus denying to the R.S \. and the public generally the democratic right to assist. " This branch deprecates a situation which is making disappointed applicants tor homes and farms dissatisfied." stated the resolution. "It urges that the utmost pressure be used to have a measure of decentralisation brought about and that some authority be «iven to experienced individuals, nominated bv the Jx.S.A, and other organisations interested in the welfare of discharged servicemen." " Confidence in_ the members of the local rehabilitation committee was expressed in another motion.
