FARMER KILLED
FALL FROM A HORSE (0.c.) KAIKOHE, Wednesday Following a fall from a horse at Kaikohe yesterday, a farmer of_ the Mataraua district died in the Kawakawa Hospital early this morning;. Ho was Mr. Raymond Osborne, aged 44. When an inquest was held to-day by the district coroner, i\U'- A. J. Martin, evidence was given that Mr. Osborne was riding past, the Knikoho saleyards with two other men when he fell. Something was noticed wrong with his horse nnd when it was recovered it was found that the saddle had slipped. Mr. Osborne suffered severe head injuries. The coroner returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence. STRUCK BY A CAR Concussion and facial lacerations wore suffered by a five-year-old child.
