Sir Francis Beaurepaire left for Australia by liying-boat yesterday. Lieutenant-Colonel C. H. Sawyers D.5.0., was a passenger south last night. Mr. H. J. Hulse, president of the Auckland Master Builders' Association left for Wellington by air yesterday. ' Mr. T. H. Macky, a member "of the Auckland Manpower • (Industrial) Committee, left for Wellington last night. Mr. V. ,J. Lanier was re-elected chairman of the' Auckland Gas Company at a meeting of. the board of directors "yesterday. Mr. A. Main, manager of the Waitemata Electric-Power Board, will leave by air for Wellington to-day to discuss the power shortage with the Controller of Electricity.
