AUCKLAND EXCHANGE LIBERTY LOAN HIGHER Strong buying pressure, coupled with a scarcity of sellers, contributed to further firmness on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, and a parcel of the Third Liberty Loan 3 per cent changed hands at £9B 12s 6d, a rise of 7s 6d since last week, with buyers remaining in at the higher rate. Bank of New Zealand shares, in their first dealings in the new year, were steady at 435, more being wanted at that figure. E:, S. and A. Banks were firmer.
