j RETURN TO MOSCOW AOOLAMATION IN STREETS ENTHUSIASM OF RUSSIANS (Reed. 5.35 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 6 Marshal Stalin, who returned to Moscow from Teheran some days ago, received a tremendous acclamation in the streets yesterday, when the people saw him driving with Marshal Voroshilov. He is reported to be greatly gratified by the conference and to have returned in the best of humours, says Reuter's Moscow correspondent. The official statement of the conference, which was published in Moscow to-night, caxised the utmost gratification in nil circles. If the Moscow Conference created an unprecedented atmosphere of friendliness and confidence in the relations between the three Powers, says the correspondent, then the Teheran Conference placed those sentiments on a solid footing. The Russian man in the. street is genuinely enthusiastic in the sober Russian way about the Teheran Declaration. One cannot exaggerate the importance attached by every Russian to any solemn declaration signed by Marshal Stalin. When the Russian Premier puts his signature to the phrase, "We are friends in fact, spirit and purpose," then the Soviet man in the street sees solid prospects of a, long era of constructive and sincere collaboration between the three Powers. The Russian newspaper Isvestia says the Russian people have greeted the decisions of the conference with a sense of great satisfaction and will support them to the utmost. The results of the meeting have not only shown the determination of the Allies jointly to beat the Germans in the shortest possible time, but they have opened the way for a long period of close co-operation.
