Public notice is hereby given that the following resolution intended to operate as a Special Order was passed at a Special Meetin"- of the Auckland City Council held on the -26 th day of October, 1948, and will come ■up for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the said Council to be held in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Auckland, at '2.15 p.m. on Monday, the 29th day of November, 1943: "In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act. 1933, and its amendments, the North Shore Boroughs (Auckland) Water 'Supply Act 1941, The Auckland Community Welfare Centre, and Auckland City Empowering Act, 1941, The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1026, The Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 and Regulations thereunder, and of all powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council doth hereby by Special Order resolve to borrow the sum of Thirty Thousand Pounds (.£30,000) by way of Special Loan to be known as the North Shore Boroughs (Auckland) Water Supply Additional Loan, 1943, £30,000, for the purpose of reimbursing the General Account of the Council for expenditure incurred in providing a supply of water to the North Shore Boroughs in excess of the amount raised by the North Shore Boroughs (Auckland) Water Supply Loan, 1941, £125,000; that the loan be raised at a rate of interest not exceeding Three Pounds Ten Shillings (£3/10/-) per centum per annum for a period not exceeding thirty (30) years from the date of the raising of the Loan; that the, security therefor shall be a Special Rate of one-seventh of one penny (l-7d) in the .C on the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Auckland; that no amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect of the said loan shall be paid out of loan money; that a Sinking Fund of Two Pounds (£2) per centum per annum be and is hereby established in respect, of the said Loan, and the amount thereof shall be paid to the Auckland City Sinking Funds Commissioners to be held and disposed of by them as required by law; that all costs, charges and expenses actually incurred in connection with the raising of 6uch Loan shall be pa id out of the Loan."
