NOCTURNAL INTRUDERS UNDESIRABLE CONDUCT Misbehaviour in the buildings an grounds of many city schools almost nightly is at present causing indignation and concern among teachers, school committees and parents. Evidences 0 immoral conduct and disgusting habits have frequently been found and police assistance in detecting culprits has been requested in a number of cases Undesirable practices in school premises at night have always been prevalent but teachers and parents said yesterdav that they had become particularly frequent in recent months. So bad has been the experience at one school that the committee has recently inaugurated a patrol by parents. At other schools periodic Visits to the school grounds are made at nights by members of the committee, and teachers carefully inspect the grounds and outbuildings in the mornings. ' The boarding-up of shelter sheds to keep nocturnal visitors out has been found necessary at a centrally-situated school. Elsewhere boards were hailed up to prevent entry to a building but were later found removed. In certain cases window-panes have been broken by those illegally entering school buildings at night. Classrooms have occasionally been found by teachers in a disgusting state on their arrival in the mornings.
