ELLEKSLIE TKAINING INDIAN SPORT GOES WELL BY ARCHER The Avondale Cup horses Landveyor and Indian Sport galloped well at Ellerslie yesterday and so did the sprinter Icefloe, who ran easily the best half-mile. Icefloe worked late in the morning when the conditions were most favourable. The course proper, where the poles were out 65 feet, was used for galloping and the going was easy.

Landveyor (HootofO finished slightly in front of Indian Sport (E. Manson), with some lengths to tironzo (Mudford), who led them early, after completing a mile in 1.-17 1-5. The first five furlongs were run in 1.0 and Landveyor and Indian Snort finished strongly over ilie last three in 41 l-ss. Indian Sport would he carrying slightly more weight than Landveyor and in the circumstances his effort was very satisfactory, especially as ho seemed full of running. Landveyor has done well since winning the Jellicoe Handicap. British Talent was responsible for a sound effort in running a mile in 1.-17 1-5 ami beating Our Gold, who assisted him over the last seven furlongs, which were run in 1.3-1 l-o. British Talent is in capital order. 1-oxlore and Clinch were not hurried while running six furlongs in 1.22 4-5, Foxlore finishing very strongly.
