AUCKLAND EXCHANGE GAS DEBENTURES ADVANCE While the general tone on the Auckland Stock Exchange continued to he very firm yesterday there were a few exceptions. Woolworths, both New Zealand and Sydney, in accord with a recent easier trend, sold at lower rates. Commercial Hanks firmed and with a sale at 15s touched their highest level for a year. The perpetual debentures of the Auckland Gas Company at £'BB showed a rise of £4. since October 8. CLOSING QUOTATIONS
