PATRIOTIC AUCTION
A meeting was held yesterday in the Auckland Public Library for the purpose of organising the collection of rare books and other articles to be auctioned in conjunction with the book given by Mr. Winston Churchill for raising funds for patriotic purposes in New Zealand. The scheme was explained by the Dominion organiser, Mr P. Lawlor, of Wellington, and general and executive committees were appointed to under-1 take the collection, storage and disposal of the gift®.
