POPULAR GROUP TRAVEL
Although the war had affected mainly the overseas part of slie business of the Tourist Department, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, said "yesterday, that it was surprising the number of New Zealanders who continued to travel about the country and whose travel trips the department's organisation had handled. Figures just collected showed the department sponsored last year in group travel excursions 3J|26 persons, from whom the revenue was £15,000.
