EGGS AND BUTTER

DISTRIBUTION COMPANY (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Saturday To conserve petrol, manpower, and truck mileage, egg mid butter distributors in Wellington have decided to form a limited liability company in which each of the distributing firms will hold shares, including the Internal Marketing department's trading branch. Legislative authority enabling the department to hold such shares in a limited liability company is provided in the Marketing Emergency Regulations gazetted to-night, and these enable the organisation to function successfully and regularise the department's association in the company. HARRIER RACING University.—The club held a run from university over a five mile course of mainly road work. The whole club ran in one large pack and a fast pace was maintained throughout. The result was:—A. 8. Wilshire, 1; Shackle-ford, 2; Millar, 3. Wesley.—The club held its opening run of the seaeon from the Kingsland Methodist Church. The runners were divided into two packs led* by Stevenson and Robbins. Ellerslie.—There wos a large attendance at the opening run of the season over a five miles course. In the fast pack, K. Gates was outstanding and gave a most promising display for a junior. The runs-in resulted:— Fast pack: K. Gates, 1; A. F. Stanley, 2; ,T. McKenna, 3. Slow pack: A. Topp, 1; R. P. Sharp, 2; F. D. Sharp, 3. Baptist.—The Baptust Harrier Ciiih held a five and a-half miles run from Mount Albert Baptist Church. The quarter-mile run-in resulted:—Fast pack: J. Christie, 1; Marson, 2; M. Woodcock. 3. Intermediate pack: A. Furness,, 1; H. Pugh, 2; M. Probine, 3. Preebyterian.—The weekly run was held over a six and a-half miles course. Results:— Fast pack: W. Miller, 1; H. McClaren, 2; J. Neil.' 3. Slow pack: K. James, 1; .T. Whyte, 2; J. Turner. 3. Colts pack: W. Bissett, 1; Cunningham, dead-heat, 1; N. Mcßae, 3.
