SUGAR RATIONING

CURRENCY OF COUPONS Notwithstanding the official instruction that sugar rationing coupons numbered 1 to 4 inclusive are current only up to May 23, there is a misapprehension by some people that only number 1 coupon becomes obsolete on that date and that the currency of the second does not expire > until a week later. The instructions set out that any four coupons mav be saved and used up to the end of the period of availability of the fourth of the series, but the last of the four cannot be converted in any event until the last week. Thus, up to May 16, numbers 1 to 3 inclusive will be available and up to May 23, numbers 1 to 4.
