RAPIDLY DIMINISHING
TOBACCO IN AUSTRALIA MELBOURNE, May 7 May deliveries of tobacco and cigarettes 'in Australia will be on the same basis as those in April—7s per cent of the average monthly purchases made in the base year, 1940. Announcing this, the Minister for Trade and Customs, Senator Keane, said that tobacco stocks were rapidly diminishing, and that no further appreciable supplies could be expected from overseas in the near future.
