SHEEPOWNERS' GIFTS

THE NAVY AND AIR FORCE The appeal which is being made to sheep-owners to show appreciation of the work of the Navy and the Air Force is making good progress. In the past few weeks, Auckland sheepowners have subscribed £319 and sheepowners in other districts £1759, which, with amounts previously acknowledged, make a total of £22,707. With an extension to include injured airmen and dependents, the appeal is being conducted by the New Zealand Sheepowners' Acknowledgment of Debt to British Seamen Fund, which, during the last war collected £202,000, part of which was used to establish the Flock House farm scheme.
