(0.C.). MORRINSVILLE, Tuesday Tlje final figures in the Hauraki byelection, rendered necessary by tho death in action of Lieutenant-Colonel J. M. Allen, are as follows: Mr. A. S. Sutherland (National), 3805; Mr. H. T. fJead (Independent), 1082, Of the absentee votes, Mr. Head roceivod 13 and Mr. Sutherland 70, while the votes recorded by members of the forces were 24 and 95 respectively. Informal votes totalled 29. • Colonel Allen won the seat for the National Party from Mr. R. Coulter (Government), in 1938. •
