POLICE MAKE AN ARREST [BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION*] INVERCARGILL, Tuesday The man alleged to have set fire to the Puysegur Point lighthouse on Sun' day and to have assaulted one of the lignthousekeepers has been arrested and is being brought back to Invercargill. . , Relief was felt in_ police circles wnen a telegram was received from Puysegur stating that the police party was safe and well, for it was known that the wanted man had a .303 rifle and ammunition which he had taken from the lighthouse. Coal Island, where the man was marooned, rises to a height or 850 ft. and is covered with dense busn. The police left Puysegur at mid-dav on the return of the trawler Toiler duo are expected to arrive here at a late hour to-night.
