ERADICATING RAGWORT

(0.C.) HAMILTON, Tuesday On the recommendation, of the county engineer, Mr. A. A. Woodward, tho Waikato County Council to-day decided to place in the council solicitor's hands for prosecution any farmers who do not eradicate ragwort in the county after a public notice. Mr. Woodward said the noxious weeds inspector had been called for military service and the council did not have the staff "to call and implore each man to destroy a few ragwort plants on his property."
