For the first half of January the Barrytown group of gold ((dredges on the West Coast of the South Island won 13770z of (fold $3 follows:—Barrytown, llloz, 45,000 yards; Kanieri, 7070z, 99,000 yards; Arahura, 5590z, 133,000 yards- . _ Austral N.Z. (West Coast).—First half January, 2120z. „ Nf?ahere (West Coast) .—First half January, aesoz, 108,000 yards, 204 hours. Rimn (West Coast).— 35.180 lards, 111 hours. For 1041, total 7400 0Z from 1.877,288 yards (1940. total 8141oz, 2,235.789 yards). Molyneux (Otago).—2o7oz for 285 hours to January 9 • Gillespie's Beach (Westland).—ol oz, 28,000 lards, for 235 hours to January 17. Emperor and Loloma (Fiji).—The management- reports that rationing of power and air oy Tsvua Power Pty.. Limited, owing to the »on-arrival of spares, has necessitated curtailm*nt of production and development. Only jrsent and important development work will w done.
