TANK BKIGADE'S PAKT INFANTRY OUT-NUMBERED LONDON, Jan. 6 Tuesday's Cairo communique states that our mobile columns and the Royal Air Force were again active in the Jedabaya area and concentrations of enemy 'motor transport have been successfully engaged. Prisoners gained in the capture of Bartlia comprise 1804 Germans, including 28 officers, and 5278 .Italians, including 145 officers. In addition, there are 900 wounded of both nationalities. "In this highly successful attack/' states the communique, "the Ist British Army Tank Brigade played a most important part in assisting the infantry to attack positions firmly held bv tlie enemy in large numbers."
