ENTERTAINING REVUE

Now firmly established in Auckland as an entertainer, Opliir Roes presented his sixth vaudeville concert, "Thumbs Dp," before a good audience in the Town Flail concert chamber on Saturday night. There was not a dull moment in the programme, which included a number of items with a topical flavour. Among the artists were Adele Taylor (soprano), Sylvia Poynter (soubrette), Jack Riley and Elton Black (Scots comedian), George Williamson (tap dancer) and Stan Crisp (accordeonist). One of the most popular items was Teo's singing of "Maori Battalion." A sketch, "The Case of the 'Conscienceless' Objector," also was well received.
