EMERGENCY SERVICE
FIREMEN ON PARADE All Auckland divisions of the Emergency Fire Service paraded in their districts on Saturday afternoon for the ceremony of passing over the newly-appointed divisional officers, section officers and non-commissioned officers. The ceremony was conducted at every point hut the Western Division by the district commander for the Auckland fire district, Mr. L. S. Abbott, who introduced the officers to the men. Non-commissioned officers received their chevrons, and the officers, who are not yet in uniform, will receive their epaulettes later. Following the ceremonial parades, competitions between the stations in the divisions were held. The following 1 are the newly-appointed officers:—Central Division: Divisional officers. Mr. N. W. Small and Mr. H. Eot; senior section officers, Mr. A. L. Windsor'and Mr. C. R. Sparks. Eastern Division: Divisional officer, Mr. R. A. Hawkeswood; assistant divisional officer, Mr. S. B. Diamond; senior section officer, Mr. T. Townson. Western Division: Divisional offictr, Mr» L. 0. M. Brown; senior section officer. Mr. E. A. E. Tnit. Southern Division: Divisional officer, Mr. R. W. Phipps; senior section officer. Mr. A. Wilson. Mounts Division (Mount Eden. Mount Albert, Mount Roskill): Divisional officer. Mr. S. G. Peek; assistant divisional officer, Mr, A. E. Stevens; senior section officer, Mr. T. McLockinirton. Northern Division: Divisional officer, Mr. G. IST. Fildes; assistant divisional officer, Mr. A. M. C. Rpooner; senior section officer, Mr. G. A. Simons.
